New Lanark Mill Hotel is an excellent place to stay for business or leisure

The room was superb and much larger than the average hotel room I've stayed in recently. A decent size desk was useful to do work and the bed and bathroom facilities were excellent. Breakfast was exceptional and the hot food was cooked to perfection as was the evening meal we had on our first night. I really couldn't fault this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Disappointed

Love the pool area with sauna and jacuzzi..room was gorgeous

The fact that our room was only separated by a door. We had what we thought where a group of ladies partying and roaring and swearing at top of there voices till 130 then back up at 6am .. Bed was very small for a double husband is only 5ft9 and his feet were hanging out the bed .. Been here many times and never had anything like this before..what we thought was a relaxing break turned into a disappointment 😞

A very pleasant stay in a lovely historical location.

Not an expansive evening meal menu but when food came it was very tasty. The room was very big with a nicely equipped bathroom. Staff were very courteous.

Parking is very cramped .had to circle the car park a few times to find a space.

Great stay

All the staff were so friendly and so attentive. The room was big with the biggest comfy bed I've ever had the joy to sleep on. The food was delicious. The location is beautiful. It was so interesting going around the museums. As well as the lovely walk to the falls.

My wife was awakened at 5.30am with a noise and she was sure she saw a man in a black suit walking around the room. When she woke me to tell me about it, I couldn’t see anyone. We were quite spooked after that as she’s never seen anything like this before. Apart from that, the hotel was lovely.

Lovely location, staff and atmosphere. The breakfast was subpar and the pool was far too cold.

The room was amazing. When asking for an upgrade for my partner's birthday, I received one with no pushback. The staff were lovely, and the overall atmosphere was very relaxing.

Although I appreciate having access to a variety of amenities, the pool was unbearably cold and not enjoyable to swim in. The continental breakfast was below subpar, especially being a vegan, I wasn't expecting to be able to eat much, but it was far below what I expected to be standard for such a lovely hotel, even for my meat-eating partner.

I am a light sleeper I was put at the back of the hotel where the river and mill are. Didn’t sleep a wink as so loud. Hotel is beautiful though

There was a smell in one of the bedrooms and the windows were open when we arrived. Disappointing they did not have some of the items on the drinks and food menus.

Fabulous for relaxing in, activities such as walking and exploring history in a unique and pleasurable way.

The setting was absolutely fantastic. Within a weaving mill and gorgeous views of waterfalls and river, this hotel would suit all people.

Great service and stay in a beautiful setting

Service from staff was great in all areas of the hotel, friendly, helpful, making sure we were happy with everything.Special mention for the reception staff who were so warm and friendly. The restaurant is very well organised and has a nice, warm atmosphere where we got a good dinner and a freshly cooked tasty breakfast.Loved the spa facilities. Everything worked really well.The whole area has a very relaxing vibe.Best part was the really big room which was of a great standard with a wow view of the river.The hotel itself is set in a heritage sit which has a special feel and a walk along the Falls of Clyde being a highlight .

A very small thing.I would have liked the poolside to be a bit warmer especially if wanting to sit and relax on the loungers. Everything else great!

when we went to check in we got upgraded , all the staff were very friendly and nothing was a bother to them

Breakfast was good and good choice

Evening meal. Had to change our menu choices 3 times due to out of stocks - no cheesecake, no cheese n biscuits and no crumble . I eventually ordered peach Melba sundae but was disappointed as it was only peach and ice cream . After a disappointing meal we went to the bar - we were the only people in the bar there was a party night on . At 10.30 the barmaid told us she was closing the bar . We were back in our room by 10.40.

We had a lovely time at the New lanark Mill hotel

We had dinner the first night we stayed and it was excellent, the room was spacious and had a lovely view over the water.

The room i thought would have been a bit more up scale that what it actually was but it was still lovely. The card that opened the bedroom door kept failing and we had to ask for another card or cleaners to let us into our room. Breakfast was the disappointment for me, the first morning i had the avocado on toasted sourdough, and the second i had the eggs benedict. Both said on toasted, bread or muffin, to me toasted is not just warmed up - there was no crunch to the bread or the muffin. But this is a minor detail and overall we had a great time here. One thing that i thought we might had got was entry to the rooftop garden when we stayed but we had to buy tickets to see that. But these are minor details and overall we had a great time here.

Staff were all lovely and friendly. Room was very spacious and mostly clean. We had dinner in the restaurant which we couldn't fault.

There was stain on the bedsheet, and the spa area was very unclean and ran down looking. Swimming pool was freezing.

Gorgeous location, peacefully hidden away in a deep valley with immaculate grounds. Every member of the team we encountered on our overnight stay was helpful, welcoming and cheerful, a first class complete customer care package and a credit to themselves and to the hotel.

Perfect cosy and relaxing stay

Lovely interior and layout, the hotel was perfect for a cosy and relaxing night away. Amazing food for dinner and breakfast. Helpful staff throughout the hotel.

Bathroom sink a little blocked and took time to drain, we were only there for 1 night so didn’t bother us but worth looking into. Service was a little slow - food and drinks, perhaps because of the layout but always tasting great, hot and beautifully presented. Neither of these things would prevent us from booking again or highly recommending to family and friends.
