communication from the host was excellent. location was perfect for the airport as it was a 10 min walk. I understand why some might think it is in a sketchy place but we got the bus in and out of the city no problem and got lovely coffee from a local coffee shop. Also, the view is amazing.

The apartment is spacious, clean and a 15 minute walk from the airport, which is very convenient for early flight. I communicated with the owner Francesco via WhatsApp - he gave us very good instructions and everything regarding the apartment itself was without any problems. Francesco was always available and I thank him.

The apartment is not exactly in an area where you would want to stay longer. I had an extremely negative experience that completely ruined my next day - at 1:30 the noise from the neighbors started, doors were slammed, shouting in the street and this continued until 3:15, that my wife and I were practically sleepless because of all the events. As we had an early flight and due to nervousness and lack of sleep, we had to cancel the plans that we had after the plane landed in Trieste where we wanted to spend time until lunch.
