It’s a beautiful place with lots of character. It has everything you need and is in a really good location. We would definitely recommend it for a small family.

Lovely location, with a little park right next to it. The next bus stop into Sydney is only a 5 Minute walk away.

I liked everything about it. Warm friendly welcome from hosts, beautiful location, feels like you are just entering a little hidden valley rain forest and finding a beautifully renovated old stone cottage to rest in. Very quiet but so close to everything. Easy walk to Victoria Cross Metro to travel into city. The cottage is very comfortable and clean. I loved the art works and black and white photography. Cottage has everything you need . If it is available I will be booking again for future visits to Sydney.

The Cottage itself is gorgeous the bed was super comfy and if you were staying for a longer period having access to a washing machine and dryer would be brilliant, they also had lots of books and some games.

I stayed here recently and overall found it suited for a very short visit, but there are a few things future guests might want to know in advance. The driveway and entry was cluttered with building materials and there are stone stairs that are not particularly even which could be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. As I hate reversing out of steep narrowish driveways I decided to park my car on the street even though it was a dismal day and do the walk down the driveway. It was okay as I did not have a lot of luggage but if you were staying for longer with more luggage may be an issue or as mentioned if you have mobility issues. The air conditioning was slow to warm up, and while it eventually worked, it never became particularly cosy — in winter an electric blanket or an additional heater would make a big difference. I dislike getting into cold beds in winter. I had asked about an iron and ironing board, and while these were provided, it was only a bench-top ironing board, which I found a bit tricky to set up safely in the small kitchen space. The kitchen itself is quite limited, with minimal storage and only a single plug-in hot plate. It’s fine for making a cup of tea or coffee (tea, coffee pods, milk, sugar, and a jug were supplied), but I would recommend planning to eat out rather than cooking meals in. The shower was good, and while the towels were serviceable, they were a little worn. All in all, I think this property is best suited for a night or two if you don’t plan on cooking and are just after somewhere to sleep and freshen up. With a few small touches — such as fresher towels, a heater, or some welcoming extras — it could feel much more comfortable, especially in the colder months.
