Central location. Recently refurbished. Friendly staff. Good parking. Menu not over-complicated. Tasty pub style food.

Steep stairs to rooms. Loud road noise. Very warm, due to summer heat, although the fan provided was of some use cooling the room. Breakfast options were adequate but a bit basic. Steps into en-suite bathroom manageable but peculiar - a consequence of an old building, I suppose.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. There's a really good vibe about the place. Room was great, bed very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely the next morning. I cannot praise this place enough. We will definitely be back.

The location was good, the pub area and rooms were lovely. The two ladies working when we checked in were both amazing , unfortunately we had to leave early due to a heath issue and they could not have been more helpful and understanding. Thank you x Highly recommended as a place to stay and dine. We will hopefully return at some point.

Nothing was all excellent.

Bedroom was extermely comfortable with excellent facilties. Accommodation is nicely located and car parking arrangements were first-class. Breakfast was really disappointing though - through the meagre menu (no cereal; only 3 cooked choices, one of which was vegetarian), the lack of any guidance on how to order, or that toast and coffee/tea were all self-made and a really offhand approach by staff...how are customers expected to know that they need to go to a hatch to the kitchen to order their choices ? Friendly or helpful inter-action with customers was non-existent.

It would be a good idea for managenent to test breakfast service and menu for themselves and put themselves in the shoes of a first-time visitor. A re-think of the menu and some staff training would probably go a long way in raising breakfasts to an acceptable standard. The difference between the quality of the bedrooms and breakfast service was astonising.
