Western Apartments Excel

Location is wonderful! 7th floor with amazing view on Greenwich,O2 arena,and IFScloud cable cars that make amazing sight from balcony tonight! 2 very good frequent tube lines connect you with central London in 10 minutes! Very peaceful and quiet neighbourhood,you can keep your bedroom window open whole night and sleep tight! City Airport has no flights very early or very late. Tesco and a lot of reastauransts in the block! I could live there!

We rented a 3-bedroom apartment to attend a convention at ExCel. The location is excellent, within walking distance, no more than 10 minutes. The apartment is modern, in a modern high-rise building, and our unit had a beautiful of the city. The apartment is well equipped and clean. I would say it is close to Hampton Inn level of appointment, but this one is complete with a living room and a full kitchen. Compared to the other three apartments we rented on this trip (from RCI and Citi Travel), this one was the best quality.

The rental office is in a real estate agent's office that is hard to find and not listed on Booking.com. We called and got a response in half an hour, which directed us to the office. Our friend also rented here, and her call got through right away, so it may depend on your luck. For another apartment that we rented through Cititravel, we read the online review and found that we needed to contact the host three days before arrival. We did, and that turned out to be essential. But that was not disclosed on the booking page. I suggest always contacting the booking site for check-in instructions when booking apartments that are not a hotel.

Amazing location and views from the apartment. Size of living room is great. Two bedrooms with attached bathroom are also great. Third bedroom is a box room.

- The cleaning was done poorly when we arrived. After several requests one more round of cleaning was done on 5th day of our stay. We were told it is was exceptional and usually no cleaning is provided during stay. This is a bit because we had 10 days booked and it is a common practice to provide one full cleaning every week in such apartment bookings. - The electricity went off one day! That means heated water to cooking, everything went on hold. It returned after 90 mins and a few follow ups. Turned out that they prePay the meter and the meter had run out of balance. - There were several broken door knobs and drawers, cracking sounds in doors and beds, appliances that didn’t work, and spare parts for beds kept under our bed. - We were told that there was no parking bay included with apartment and we had to pay extra for parking. It is amazing how nicely located and built this property but poorly managed. How easily the mgmt can change the experience from average to excellent by paying attention to details!
