The guy running the place is really nice and there is a cool 70s vibe about the property. It's easy to come and go to Perissa beach and Tranquilo bar/cafe from a private pathway between the hostel and the beach. There are supermarkets, bakeries and bus stops close by (as well as all the beach-front restaurants), so you're only about 40 mins away from Fira door-to-door.
There's no wifi in the rooms as advertised, so you have to sit in the reception area for wifi. The beds are pretty uncomfortable and the showers have zero water pressure and very salty water, so be prepared for that. There are no laundry facilities but whatever you do, don't take your stuff to the laundromat up the road. Noise travels really easily between the rooms. On the day that I left, the property had a power outage.
