Exceptional place to stay for the price you pay. Staff is very hospitable. Views are amazing away from the crowd. The only piece I would recommend is having something availaible for the guests for lunch or dinner. It's extremely difficult to go out and grab something even though there a few restaurants closeby. I understand it's b&b and they mention that they will be serving only breakfast, but once you are at the property you need to take your car out again, in case of dinner and lunch, which if you are tired you simply don't want to. You can zomato or Swiggy. Than again it's a gamle because you are never sure what you are getting.

Me and my friends recently stayed at Ila by the Sea, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing due to extremely poor hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the caretaker was unwelcoming and rude—there wasn’t even a basic greeting or smile. The next morning, when we requested a simple cup of coffee before heading out at 8 AM, he bluntly refused without any effort to assist. Shortly after, as we were getting into our taxi, he approached us with an unpleasant attitude to say that breakfast was ready at 8:30. When we explained we were running late, his response was visibly negative and unprofessional. The most concerning experience was on our checkout day. We stepped out at 9 AM with the intention to return and check out by 12 PM, which is generally acceptable as most stays allow a small buffer. However, we received a rude call stating that if we did not vacate by 11:30, he would enter the room and remove our luggage. This was extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable. Despite requesting a slight extension until 12, he remained aggressive, forcing us to rush back and check out. He also falsely claimed that new guests had already arrived and were waiting, which turned out to be untrue when we returned—no one was there. In addition, one of the rooms we booked did not even have an exhaust fan in the washroom, which is a very basic facility. There was also no proactive housekeeping—no one checked if room cleaning was required. It felt like guests had to chase basic services themselves rather than being attended to. Overall, the behavior was disrespectful and the service standards were far below expectations. Hospitality is fundamental to any stay, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet even the basic level. I would not recommend this place based on the service and overall experience.
