Penthouse Handa was the best value accommodation in our 3 weeks in Japan. Not the cheapest...that was a Love Hotel in Gifu. 😀 Penthouse was spacious, with a queen size bed and a large single, both with quality sheets and a choice of 3 different pillows. A lounge area with a large TV, a separate dining area with a smaller TV, kitchenette with microwave/griller/oven, fridge, freezer, which was loaded with complimentary ice creams, and sink, which doubled as the vanity basin. A clothes washer/dryer was next to the fridge and then the shower room at the end of the kitchen, which is a bit unusual but it was a great shower. Separate toilet. And then the balcony! With deck chairs, some artificial grass and cherry blossom decorations on the paling fence. And of course, outside slip-ons. Host, Tatsu, also had a bag of complimentary snacks for us on the table (we stayed 3 nights) and was the only one of our 8 hosts who provided extra large slippers which fitted my extra large feet. 🫠 When we wanted to cook toast in the griller setting, Tatsu went out of his way to find a tray to use in the oven and a butter knife for our toppings. Had our own parking spot for our rent a car. Using face recognition to unlock our door...no keys to lose!! Great choice of tea bags and pod coffees.

The staff was so friendly and supportive. He responded to my message so quickly. His hospitality was exceptional! The bonus food at fridge surprised us. Thank you so much! 😄 A bakery and supermarket are so close, u don't need to worry about the breakfast and meal.

The railway next to it did make noise, but it's acceptable to me. I slept well every night :)
