The apartment of Mustafa is very central (only a few meters away from the corniche of Aswan) but still very quiet (although all the rest of the city center around if quite a busy place all day and night) and safe as well as there are cameras around the main entrance.
Mustafa and his son were very kind also to let me in before the official check-in time and I received all useful information about the neighbourhood (including the closest convenience store).
Mustafa also helps out to arrange trips to the most important monuments around Aswan (he arranged for me a trip to Abu Simbel for a very conveniente price).
Therefore I would definitely recommend staying in his apartment during your trip to Aswan and surroundings.
