The breakfast area consisted of three small tables and a vending machine for food. Sometimes there was coffee, other times not. I sometimes need a snack in the night, so I had muffins with me, which served as a good thing, since they didnt really have a decent breakfast.
However, my room was nice and clean, the bed super comfortable, and the price was right! I saved over $500 by staying here, for my 6 days as opposed to a fancier hotel with a real breakfast.
There was a nice waffle house and McDonald's across the street, and/or bring in your own food.
They did allow dogs, and except for an occasion bark, they were no problem.
The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to help me navigate 4 steps down to my room, along with carrying my suitcase, since I walk with a cane.
I will totally be staying here again the next time I visit Castle Rock, Colorado. My overall impression was very good.
I didnt like the no breakfast, except from a vending machine. However, with a bit of planning ahead, I had juice and muffins in my room each day.
I didn't like having to take the four steps to my room, but there was another entrance without steps, but it was further away at the other end of the hall.

The location was perfect. It was in between the two places that we frequented while there.
I had upgraded to a double occupancy prior to my arrival.
I understood there would be an upcharge. It was not collected at the time of check-in, so I figured they get that upon check out.
That evening, after we went to bed, there was a knock on our door from the night clerk.
The up charge had to be paid right then and couldn't wait till the morning.
In fact the night clerk said and I quote "give me your credit card, I will go down and run it, and bring it back to you".
I was going to be there for 4 days, I don't see what the urgency was to take care of it right then. Especially after we'd already gone to bed.
