Freesia cottage

On arrival, we found the property very well presented and well laid out for a larger family. Parking was adequate for two vehicles and a vehicle is a must as the walk into the town took around twenty minutes but, overall, we were very satisfied with the property.

Well maintained property 30 mins walk to town but plenty of bus and taxi services. General store 5 minutes along the road. Good hosts who respond quickly and are very thoughtful. Milk biscuits tea and coffee there for arrival. Cream tea delivered mid stay, a lovely touch ! Plenty of towels supplied and comfy beds and bedding we all slept well. Well equipped kitchen We had some difficulties with internal doors as they are very heavy fire doors, which swing closed, making it hard if carrying things in and out. I Would be on edge if young children were with me in case they trapped their fingers in these doors. Would advise taking some door wedges!Most windows were locked or fixed shut and this made it feel quite claustrophobic and a fear you would be trapped should there be a fire. No keys for the windows were found. Look out for cat poo on the path into the property, (2 cats live next door) personally I would advise a cat scarer be installed, because that cat mess would smell even worse in the summer!!No hair dryer provided as their insurers ban them as a fire hazard!
