Originally a humble, one-room old fisherman's shack, this home has been expanded with a new addition and updated in 2023. Perfect for nature lovers, this peaceful retreat offers access to Springer’s Point Nature Preserve via kayak, where you can explore untouched coastal beauty and abundant wildlife.
Wake up to the sounds of nature, sip coffee on the screened-in porch overlooking the marsh, and spend your days kayaking through winding creeks or relaxing in the quiet, secluded surroundings. Whether you're looking for a couple's getaway or a solo retreat, this hidden gem provides the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
Please note: The sleeping loft is accessible by very steep stairs, which is not suitable for young children, individuals with mobility limitations, or those uncomfortable with climbing. Birdland was fantastic. Location was perfect with the creek behind the house. Place is la out very well and has everything needed for a great stay. Bring your kayak and put it at low tide for a beautiful paddle out the Springer’s Point!

We loved this little cottage and hope to return again. Simple, minimal yet so much thought and care went into making it guest friendly. It seems to be a fairly new remodel and is cute, well-thought-out and super clean. There’s a little screened front porch for coffee or meals and a small, wooden table with two chairs outdoors next to the canal. We rented a kayak and paddled several times from the backyard out to the end of the island and around the corner to Springer Preserve where we got out to enjoy the wooded trails. It’s close to the beach, a bait shop, and a grocery store that had a wide variety of goods. There are no homes nearby on three sides and there are a chorus of birds singing all day. As the owners make clear, access to the bed upstairs is not an easy climb for anyone with mobility or steadiness challenges. If you love the outdoors and the ability to come home to a tiny house and chill in nature, this was a great spot for us.
