Beautiful location for hiking and biking in the Haute Savoie mountains

The location in the Haute Savoie mountains is a good start point for trips to the 30 car-minutes nearby Lac d’Annecy with it’s crystal clear water, the historical city of Annecy and Faverges. In Thones, the next small city in 5min drive we enjoyed the cafes and the big carrefour supermarket. The apartment fulfills every need for a self-catering stay for more then just a weekend. Stephanie, the host was very kind and welcomed us personally and explained the site when we arrived. The communication in English was no problem.

The, on the pictures displayed, beautiful and big terrace was for private use only (not the guests). The guest terrace does not look to the beautiful mountains but on a high hedge. The steep staircase between lower bedroom and upper living room is hard to use (esp. before the first coffee). The bathroom and douche is tiny and hard to use for bigger people.

Perfect base for exploration

- Location: The chalet is located in the quiet commune of Le Clefs, which is right outside Thônes. It is such a beautiful and quiet area, surrounded by mountains. The chalet was also an ideal base for exploring the region (Annecy, La Crusaz, Col de Aravis, Col de la Forclaz; Geneva is 40-50 minute drive away) - Food: The host was kind enough to stock our accomodation with a wide range of locally made food (tartiflette, legumes du soleil, ratatouille, tagine) There were even a few vegetarian and vegan options. All of these dishes are at a super affordable price of €6 or €7. The food was very tasty - a must try if you consider eating in. - Gift: The hosts brew their own beer and left us a sample in the property - it was very tasty and a really nice little gift. - Responsive host: Stephanie always responded to our messages within a few hours. She was super helpful.Thank you for having us - Great value for money: Compared to other accomodation in the area, this chalet felt like the best price for what you get. A real deal :)

- Bed: Despite the fully adjustable head/feet height of the bed, we didn't find the bed quite so comfortable unfortunately - Towels: We received 2 big towels and 1 shower mat towel.It would have been beneficial to have a couple of hand/face towels, especially since we stayed for 6 days. As we didn't bring this up with the host, there was no possibility for this to get amended - so that is our fault :)

A wonderful stay worth remembering

Beautiful property in a stunning surrounding. Our hostess Stephanie greeted us warmly and ensured we had a pleasant stay. The chalet was beautiful, clean and with all the amenities required and beds were really comfy. We would certainly like to come back!

Nice and quite place for a good relax

Nice, quiet location. It is a real chalet made of wood. The hosts are making their own beer, which was extremely good. Definitely recommend trying.

A bit hard to open the door with a key. Seems the lock needs some maintenance.
