Price, quiet neighborhood, cleanliness.

Too small, the sofa was a bit uncomfortable to sit and to sleep.

The room is in a great area, I love Takadanobaba, and it's so close to the station as well. Ideal place to live in Tokyo if you ask me. Away from the noise of the big city, but not completely isolated.

Cockroaches. I stayed for 3 weeks in May, and I would get at least 2-3 cockroaches a week, and that is after I bought and laid down a bunch of cockroach traps after dealing with a new cockroach for 2 days in a row during my first couple of days of stay, even waking up with a cockroach next to my face on that second day. Everyone knows cockroaches are a problem in Japan during summer, but this was around the beginning of May, and honestly, it wouldn't have happened if the apartment complex took the right precautions for it. For example, the circular vent grids on the outer wall where the entrances to the different rooms were located, they had no bug screen or any way to prevent roaches from getting in, which is why the place is infested. The big blanket on the bed was torn apart and open in one of the corners, and cockroaches seemed to like that as well unfortunately. The plushies in the room are cute, but they also take up a lot of room, especially if you're sharing the room with a friend or a partner, plus, most of them had holes in them, which also makes me think the roaches could have resided in them as well. Only other complaint is saying there are 2 beds. 1 of them is a couch, and pretty uncomfy at that, and if you are planning on using it, good luck finding room for the plushies. Yes, it is possible to have 2 people live there, but I'd say only if you are sharing the bed, so I'd recommend it for couples rather than friends. With all being said and done, I still loved the place and it's location, and I would genuinely consider going back again, but only after something's done about the cockroaches.
