I liked the location. Seemed like a safe and friendly community when I walked my dogs.
I have stayed at several houses over the last decade through various websites, so these comments come with experience. I am not trying to be mean, just honest about things I would have liked to have known, and hoping this will be constructive feedback for the hosts.
- The booking required a $1,000 temporary cc charge, through a secondary website, without being included in the description on booking.com, and after being charged a non-refundable booking!!! Or an alternative $39 fee. No thank you.
- I was surprised it was a basement space, with loud renters upstairs, and no hvac control.
- The cleaners were frantically working still at check-in.
- I appreciate pets being welcome, however there were several large piles of pet feces in the fenced in area from previous guests. Also, the floor and baseboards were not mopped and cleaned well (old pet messes were obvious). Also, on the side of the couch.
- Coffee filters and coffee were not supplied for the small coffee pot (which was put away filthy). A few Keurig cups were provided, four I think, for two people over three nights.
- There wasn't an iron.
- The comforters were thin, with no extra blankets or throws provided.
- No entry rug, and it was muddy out. So, this just caused extra cleaning.
- No kitchen rag/sponge/brush and kitchen hand towel was filthy.
- Not enough bathroom towels provided.
- Broken window latch in living room. Needs repaired for safety in case of a fire and air ventilation. Bedrooms did have egress windows with functioning latches.
- The bathroom wall was filthy.
- No, I didn't contact the host, through the secondary website, as I was already frustrated with the communication after the shock of the $1k cc deposit.
