Hosts were really lovely and welcoming. Check in was easy. The location was beautiful and the lodge was really comfortable. The hot tub was clean and easy to use. Overall a really lovely break.
It wasn't obvious from the pictures that the lodge was in the host's garden. Whilst obscured we felt people could see us in the garden if walking past. Also there are no shops in walking distance and basic amenities - toiletries, milk, butter, etc are not provided which is a tad annoying if you've already had a long drive and need to go back out again.

Clean, comfy, had everything that you needed in the place. Owner showed us around the hot tub etc.
Feel like the pictures when booking didn’t resemble the actual place - for example the outside area was not shown and could do with some TLC. It was very peaceful up until we were woken up at 10am with a chainsaw chopping down trees when we had a late checkout at 12pm
