Diyakawa Boutique Hotel

The hotel was true to pictures. It is nicely situated in front of a lake, which provides calm and beautiful view. I would not say it is well situated regarding the city, but to this day, I truly do not know where it is best to stay in that city. The city is weird, in the sense that there is no downtown or anything. So you will need transport for everything. There was no restaurants in the neighborhood so I had dinner twice at the hotel. The food was good. I thought all the rooms had a balcony but that is not the case, so if you want one, choose well. The staff is very very nice, (all the waiters etc) and the owners are always here to take care of things, and they are very eager to please. My room was comfortable and the bed super nice.

Well, it is a sum of little things that made my stay not perfect. Nothing was truly a problem in itself, but when they add up, it is a bit annoying. The room : big and spacious, with a terrace. But no furniture was set up. There was piles of chairs about three feet away, so when I asked for some, it was not an issue, but please, just leave a table and two chairs on the terrace. (a couple I talked to said their balcony had 3 chairs, but no table :)) Lots of space to put you clothes, but the hangers are SOOOO high that you cannot reach them. No one can. (it was actually ridiculous and I laughed a lot). The sliding door was very hard to close and lock, I had to try several times each time. They give you an electric plug against mosquitos, but it was broken. Swimming pool: there are definitely not enough chairs around it. Maybe 2 or 3 max. So not convenient at all. There is a big space with grass in the middle of the garden, that would be perfect if they put chairs, cushions, long chairs, I don't know, something! But it's totally empty and looks sad! Restaurant: again, food was good. But the restaurant is open to public, and at night there are not enough tables. (Hum, too bad they don't have a big empty space of grass right in the middle.... ... haha). The kitchen is half open, and there is a blaring light all along, that is a bit harsh. So all these can be considered details, and I am usually not a picky host, but adding up, it is annoying. It's too bad because they do have a great spot, great staff and could definitely have a greater place with little decoration and adjustment. Food for thought.

Nice property. Lovely pool. Good for one night’s stay.

Beware the mosquitoes when sitting outside, they were really bad as the hotel is so near the river.

Location is good and facility is good. Hospitality of staff is better. Sorounding is beatuiful.

Bath room - Bidet shower was leaking and water spilled all over. Tea and Coffee- Tea bags were not available despite request. 2 coffee and 2 cream packets available for 2 people. Staff- not enough staff.
