A hidden gem with views that will leave you speechless Found this place on Booking.com while filtering for private rooms in Keylong, sorted lowest to highest price. After the dormitories were out of the picture, Gangzing Homestay came up first and honestly, fate could not have done better. The listing didn’t have many images, so I reached out to the owner directly before booking. He promptly shared photos of the rooms and washrooms, which looked incredibly clean. What I did not expect was how dramatically the reality would exceed even those. We traveled from Manali by cab, left around 6 PM, and arrived by 8:30 PM a smooth, comfortable journey. The moment we stepped in, Suman welcomed us with warmth that instantly made us feel at home. We were gently asked to leave our shoes at the door and given house slippers a small gesture that spoke volumes about how lovingly this home is maintained. Since we hadn’t eaten all day, Suman made sure we were fed and warm before anything else. The chicken she prepared that night was genuinely delicious perfect for us non-vegetarians who like to keep the protein going. And then the view. Neither the owner nor the listing had prepared me for what was outside that window. Three to four snow-capped mountains staring right back at you. Standing there, we counted roughly twelve snow-capped peaks across nearly a 180° panorama. We were absolutely blown away. The property itself is beautifully built a proper, loving home with around 7–8 rooms, easily accommodating a larger group. Every single family member was warm, supportive, and genuinely went above and beyond. Suman personally walked us partway down the road to show us the route to Keylong since we were relying on local taxis and the area is a little remote. Her husband even gave me a lift to the nearest monastery the next morning, completely unprompted, purely out of kindness. One heads-up: it gets very cold here, so pack your thermals and warm layers. Don’t skimp on this.

Nothing to dislike

I absolutely loved the location of the homestay. It is too far from the crowded life and perfect if you are someone who is looking for peace and solitude. The staffs are very cordial and the overall ambience in perfect. The hospitality is over the top and I would definitely go again to savour the comfort.

This is more of a suggestion than a complain. There should be some room heater kept and the washroom facilities should be maintained a little more meticulously because if not then it might pose a problem to the family persons. Another thing is the approach road which is basically non-existent but if you are a bit of on the adventurous side I would definitely suggest it. People with bad knees and legs might face some problem.
