I understand that we are in a different country, and sometimes things just won't meet your expectations. I hesitated to leave a negative review, but I wish someone had done the same for me. I will start with positives, facts and then negatives. The hut is spacious, and well maintained. Lovely balcony overlooking the sea. Air conditioner worked well. Location is isolated but so close to the main attraction of Coron Island. Staff are lovely, and do try to make your stay pleasant. Now facts and negatives: You will be charged a service fee on every transaction, even if you get up and get you own coke from the fridge (of there is any). Day trip boats arrive daily at lunch time, all your exclusive resorts amenities are stripped from you. Good luck getting a pool lounge, as ther are only 10. The fridge's get raided by day trippers, and the restock is very rarely done by the dinner service. We wanted to buy a coke, and they had none! After the day trippers have left, the resort is dirty. Plates, food, glasses left everywhere for hours. You get picked up by boat at the start of your stay, and will be returned to coron proper at the end of your stay. The only free boats provided are 8am to coron proper and 5pm returning. If you want to go to the mainland at any other time its **** pesos or AUD ** only way. There was ne female toilets in public areas. Staff would check the males was clear for me, and I would walk into pure filth. No toilet roll, stench of urine, wet sandy floors, and rubbish. The pool is full of green moss, photographs well, but we never swam in it as the health of the water is terrible. On my first dinner I watched a rat run accross the dining area. There are stray dogs on the island, the bark throughout the night. One would take refuge under our hut, and bark to protect her puppies. We had no hot water for 24 hours, they did fix it, but be prepared to ask 3 times. We had organised to be collected at 5pm from coron proper, but we waited in the blasting sun until 5.50pm. I was constantly told the boat was there, and it wasn't. The reason its wasn't there was because they had taken the laundry to the mainland. Don't like being lied too, or made second best to laundry. Around the perimeter of the island is garbage washed up from the mainland. They do attempt to clean it, but alot more needs to be done. Lastely if you are a foodie, you'll be disappointed. The breakfast is TERRIBLE, cold coffee, warm juice, and the list goes on. We only ate on our first night, after that our diet was french fries for dinner. Being isolated the prices are higher, but the quality is lower. Be aware at breakfast a bottle of water will be placed on your table. We assumed this was complimentary, but its not! It tuens up on your final bill. I've only reviewed my experience, not to be nasty but to give you a realistic expectation.
