My last 2 days in NZ were spent here and it's great! The kitchen is huge! Tv room is awesome for socialising and it's conveniently located right next to the city. Parking on site at $15 a night (cheap!) awesome staff too, especially Lars! He's a great asset to the hostel and always warm and welcoming. My only gripe is a lock on the toilet on the 1st floor was broken, although it locked to red, someone managed to open the door. The room was quite hot (expected in Auckland) but a fan was provided which did cool down the room a touch.
Can definitely recommend this hostel to fellow travellers :D

I would want to try their dormitory style room, but when i checked in, the room was total chaos. My “supposed” bed was unkempt with lots of things on it, looks like someone’s using it. When i asked to transfer to another room, there was no available. Terrible experience, so i had to book another place to stay at. Not gonna try this dormitory style room.
