We stayed 2 days in this hotel and trust me, the staff, location, cleanliness, and ambiance — everything is perfect. The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent, and the food is also very good. The staff is extremely helpful and among the nicest people we have met. They made our stay comfortable and memorable with their warm hospitality. The location is one of the biggest advantages of this hotel. It is just a 10-minute walking distance from Pashupatinath Temple and the airport, which makes it very convenient for travelers.

Staff and facilities were excellent. Promp service and they helped with organising taxi to airport which is only 5 min drive.

Long story short, I had been stranded in Nepal at the airport, SURROUNDED by chaos and bedlam, and after I was able to confirm a flight out of Nepal (via no means of being able to contact the airlines myself, mind you, since they ditched us at the airport) I later found out from fellow travelers about this hotel nearby called "Hotel Royal" and how it was actually clean, really good, and a great price (because hotels around the airport were exploiting the situation by charging ***/night for any rooms that happen to be vacant and that was if the mob surrounding the airport allowed you through to get to it in the first place). So, as an alternative to the hotels in Nepal exploiting stranded travelers, I went with this one. Basically, the guys who told me about this place were right - it was clean, cheap, near the airport, and had a bed - and that's all I needed in that moment. And when I left for my potential flight out of Nepal the following morning (I only need to stay a night) the front desk clerk, knowing I was one of the foreigners who got caught up in their revolution and whose departure was cancelled because of it, actually offered me a free shuttle ride back to the airport (what would have otherwise been 500 NPR). That was cool. So, I just wanted to share this for all you other travelers out there who may be reading this and considering what hotel to stay at near Tribhuvan Airport that's HUMANE and may actually help you out, even in some small but meaningful way, in case the world around you should suddenly turn upside down.
