    This was honestly one of my favorite stays in Japan. I picked Room 2 and had a direct view of Lake Chuzenji, which was absolutely beautiful to wake up to every morning. At first, I was a bit unsure about glamping, especially since the bathrooms are shared, but I was really impressed by how clean everything was. The shared bathrooms were spotless, and it didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. We didn’t use the BBQ facilities since we were traveling from overseas and it felt like too much of a hassle, but it looked like other guests were really enjoying it. The room itself was quite spacious for Japan, and I could easily fit two large suitcases, one medium, and one small. The area is super quiet, which made it perfect to just relax and enjoy the lake view in the morning. Check in and check out were smooth, just make sure to arrive before 5 pm for check in. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful and unique stay.

    Had a great time staying the night at Zen Nikko. The location is next to Lake Chuzenji with Mount Nantai in the back - it can't get more beautiful than that. I was unable to enjoy a campfire only because it was so cold and windy (early November) so keep that in mind. The bathrooms and toilets are shared but they were all kept clean. Will definitely stay again if I’m in Nikko next time.
