First, we arrived early and planning yo leave our luggage in the homestay. No one was there so I reached out to thr host via whatsapp. She told us that the room wasn't ready. We understand but we at least ask if we could leave our luggage but we weren't allowed. There were luggages tho in the common area.
We arrived @4pm. Good thing there were locals who opened the door for us. They even called the host since they provided a local number.
If they weren't there, we could have waited for so long.
Lastly, there are no tables in the rooms to eat. There are no ovens also to heat our kombini foods.
Overall, location is good. Room is decent but maybe you can find better places that have the necessities for your stay.

If you are looking for a spot that is close to everything, AnotherSky Kyoto definitely delivers on location. It is incredibly convenient for getting around the city and being near the action. However, keep in mind that you get what you pay for here. The room and toilet had a bit of a lingering smell, and since there is no everyday cleaning service, you are pretty much on your own for the duration of your stay.
The logistics can also be a bit of a challenge. There is no staff on site to help with issues, and the lack of an elevator means you will be hauling your luggage up the stairs yourself. You also won't find a microwave in the room, so don't plan on heating up any late night snacks from the conveniece store. It works if you just need a cheap place to crash in a great area, but be prepared for a very hands-off, "no frills" experience.
