    Room: Matcha | Duration: 4 Nights | Guests: 2 Adults + 1 Child (11 yrs) We had a nice and relaxing stay at Seclude Tea Estate in Palampur. True to its name, the property offers a peaceful, secluded environment—perfect for unwinding. However, the actual tea estate is relatively small, but the property has quite a few litchi and mango trees We stayed in the Matcha room, which was decently sized and offered a beautiful view of the distant hills. The staff was courteous and responsive, with a special mention for Ashwani at the restaurant, who ensured our dining experience was smooth and pleasant. The food was fresh, tasty, and made-to-order, so just be sure to inform them in advance about your meal preferences. There are a few recreational activities available on-site: - A Pickleball court (though the net could use a little tightening), - A small swimming pool and an outdoor jacuzzi, - A pool table, which was a nice addition, but it had just one cue stick and one of the ball collectors was broken. In my opinion, moving the pool table to the more open first-floor reading/lounge area would improve the playing experience, as the current mezzanine location felt a bit cramped. Palampur, Dharamshala, and McLeodganj are all nearby and are a decent drive. One thing to keep in mind: insects and bugs are abundant in the evenings, so it’s best to keep doors and windows shut after dark. Also worth noting—the first-floor rooms (front-facing) share a single long common balcony rather than having private ones, which might matter to those seeking a bit more privacy. Overall, Seclude Tea Estate is a charming and serene escape for families looking to slow down and reconnect with nature. A few minor tweaks could elevate the experience even further, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
