    Their Kanchenjunga view rooms are best, the food is however average. Staffs need to be a little bit more fast though. Location is good.

    The rooms are exactly like shown on the website, my room was a valley view ,but I recommend all to take the mountain view rooms coz you can clearly see the kanchanjanga range from the windows.the staff was very warm and welcoming.the food of the restaurant is very tasty..no electricity problem,wifi speed is good. Presious rooms.just one suggestion for the hotel that keep a hair dryer. Had a wonderful stay.

    Had a great experience staying at The Golden Retreat Hotel. Initially, I was a bit skeptical that the hotel may be overpriced due to the season (I visited during Christmas holidays and had booked Premium Kanchenjunga Room). But I must admit that my stay was very enjoyable and comfortable. The room offered unobstructed and absolutely breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga. Some of the nice features about the room was its cleanliness, big size, comfortable bed, mattress and pillows. Super soft blankets were provided along with rubber slippers, which is really helpful. They provide toiletries, shaving and dental kits as well. Bathroom was clean and big with 24hrs hot water. I also ordered food from their restaurant, but found it okayish. It was freshly cooked but I didn't find them tasty enough. But I'll let it pass since its in a prime location with lots of eateries nearby. However, I would not recommend this property to aged people as the main entrance is not on the roadside. So you will have to climb down some steps to reach there, and similarly climb up when you want to go outside. I also found the cost per night of a room heater slightly on the higher side. I was charged 500/- per night. In my opinion, 350/- should have been a fair price.
