Elkonin Hotel Tel Aviv - MGallery Collection

The stuff The food The pool The location Everything was amazing

We chose this hotel expecting a luxurious and indulgent experience, which is why we were willing to pay twice the price of other hotels in the area. However, upon arrival, we found a place that felt more like a basic B&B—dirty, with poor customer service, and no facilities for guests. The pool and rooftop were closed despite the warm 30°C weather, with no prior notice on the hotel’s website (it only mentioned the pool being closed in winter, yet we visited in mid-March). Before booking, we tried multiple times to contact the front desk to check which facilities were available, but it was nearly impossible to reach them. The rooms were in poor condition—stained furniture, filthy carpets, a dirty sink, and an uncleaned floor. We had to switch rooms three times before finding one that was reasonably clean. The reception was mostly unresponsive, and any complaints were met with indifference or outright disregard. In the end, we paid 1,700 ILS per night for nothing more than a basic room, with a disappointing breakfast and the overwhelming feeling that the staff simply didn’t care. For this level of service and conditions, there are far better and much cheaper alternatives. Definitely not worth it.
