Cosy Apt With Balcony - Buttes Chaumont

Near my son's apartment, on the back of the building so quieter, the kitchenette.

The checking in and out was a bit long winded. Didnt like the deposit arrangements and having to upload photos, etc.

This is a self-contained apartment within a larger hotel building. Easy access at any time, and the neighbourhood is really nice, not touristy and just very Parisien with folk going about their lives, which we loved. There's a great supermarket and bakery and bar literally at the end of the road, and other local shops a few minutes walk. The apartment itself is not huge, but worked OK for our family group of 2 adults and 2 children, although with only a sliding door separating the bedroom it is not soundproof, so something to consider depending how you want to use the sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is small but surprisingly useable and well equipped, and all appliances worked well so we were able to prepare family meals for the children in the evenings. The balcony is a bonus for sitting outside with a drink or a meal, and the apartment faces a very quiet inner area away from the street so perfect for sleeping. It's about an 8 minute walk to Jourdain metro from where there are fast connections to the centre of Paris. The nearby Buttes-Chaumont park at the end of the road is lovely for a wander. Overall, a great little apartment and served us well for what we wanted, and good value compared to other properties this close to the centre.

The sofa bed in the lounge is quite soft and not particularly comfortable - depends how you sleep. Our kids said the double in the main bedroom that they shared was comfortable. As others have said, there is no external light on the balcony, although with the power extensions you could use one of the living room lights out there if you wanted. Finally, there are only three chairs for the dining table - another would have been ideal, although there is a spare folding chair in the bedroom wardrobe if you need it so we managed.

A really lovely spot! Not central- but near enough to Buttes Chaumont Metro. Our apartment was very clean and quite spacious- a balcony to sit out on.😀

A complicated system to access accommodation. Codes for doors, key box and lift. We had just flown 19 hours and it was a bit much for us!
