This is a reasonably good hotel for a short stay. Location was on a main road but reasonably quiet, about half a km from North Xizang Road Metro Station from where there was easy access to all attractions Bund, E Nanging stree. Had no restaurant which I'm told was being renovated. Lot of places around to eat mostly Chinese. For me being a vegetarian was struggling but there was a huge grocery store right across which was quite useful. Room size for a solo traveller I felt was adequate, with basic facilities. Staff were very helpful, although they all spoke only Chinese, had to communicate using translation app. Overall, a reasonable place to stay on a short holiday if you're on a budget.

I booked this hotel after seeing multiple positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The room was cramped, which I could have overlooked, but the cleanliness was unacceptable. There was hair in the shower, cigarette burn marks on the curtains, and dust on the TV screen. To make matters worse, the room wasn’t cleaned the next day either, apart from the trash being emptied. Even after complaining, the cleaning on the third day was still inadequate, with things left lying around on the floor. The lobby also had an unpleasant odour throughout my stay. The only upside is the hotel’s proximity to the subway station. Otherwise, the experience fell well below expectations. I would not book this hotel again.

Do not get the breakfast. Its only kfc everyday. They give you pepsi, breakfast sandwich and tea egg every morning. They should offer vouchers rather than forcing us eat kfc for 8 days and they even forgot to give us the breakfast on the last day. They do not care if you put the DND (do not disturb) they will still knock and change the towels. Floor was a bit dirty needs vacuuming everyday which they did not do. Sheets were also not changed daily. Only towels. Cleaning lady was very nice. Hallway smells like smoke all the time. Room was decent, lobby is a different story.
