Atour Hotel Meizhou City Center Boli Plaza

First time staying Atour hotel. The staff is very attentive and service is much much better 5 stars hotel. When check out they offer mineral water bottle, asking me if I want normal temperature or cold bottle. The receptionist even offer a bag carrier for us as she worry our plastic bag may tear due to the weight of the stuff we carry. I had to pay for my laundry at 5 star hotel, but Atour hotel offer free laundry! For the price we pay, we receive much better service than a 5 star international hotel. Highly recommended.

Stayed 4 nights at this hotel. Experienced was awesome. 3 washers n dryers, gyn next door. Buffet breakfast was very good. Western n Hakka food. Staffs just amazing. I will come back again this is my go to hotel in Meizhou

In December 2025, I embarked on a personal mission to Meizhou to reunite with my relatives whom I have not met in 20 years since I was young. We have lost contact, not knowing even the address. As a Thai overseas descendant of the Hakka, coming to an entirely foreign city was an adventure. I needed help to look through old photos and writings. I tried to pinpoint the Chinese name of my great uncle, which was written in traditional character and hard to decode. The friendly staff at Atour Hotel helped me with this. They were so patient with me even as I did not speak Chinese well. Less than 24 hours later, I found the family! I will never forget the Atour hotel experience: the neat Muji interior design, the clean and large bathroom space, the night access to the well-equipped gym, as well as washing machine and ironing facility! The restaurant downstairs also had good Hakka food, while the library in the lobby area is filled with cool books and free tea dispenser. Outside the hotel, there are many shops and food stores, since the hotel is in the city centre, and it is very easy to hail taxi. The area outside is well-lit at night. The reason I picked Atour was because I read the review of someone who came to stay at this hotel to find their long-lost relative, and they said the staff were friendly and helpful. This was very true, I confirm! I want to come to Meizhou again, and this time I will bring my family to stay.

Disappointed in the following areas: 1. Very slow check in. The staff seemed not sure how to check in foreigners and took out passport for a long time. 2. Unable to connect to wifi, you have to have China number or WeChat. 3. Lobby is very small. 4. Location is so random, a lot of random shops around, not great. 5. Smokers in the floor, my room is full of smell. 6. Noisey!! The walls are so thin that I can hear neighbours talking. Conclusion: don’t stay here, unless they can give you room with empty rooms next door, and don’t expect too much. Good points: breakfast was good.
