About this house rental
The Accommodation
You enter the house through the large entryway, from which the staircase leads to the upper floor and the spacious living-dining-kitchen area. Here, you can cook in a high-quality Nolte kitchen with a large induction cooktop, dine at the large oak table, or relax on the cozy sofa and beanbags. From the dining area, you can access the patio and garden through the large lift-and-slide window. Here you’ll find a grill, a patio umbrella, and, of course, high-quality patio furniture. On the first floor, there is a small bedroom with a home office area, as well as a spacious bathroom with a tub and walk-in shower. Upstairs, you’ll find a shower room with a view of the sky, three bedrooms—one with a 240-cm-wide family bed, one with a bunk bed (the bottom bunk pulls out), and one with a 180-cm bed. In all bedrooms, you’ll enjoy a wonderful sense of space thanks to the exposed beam ceiling, and you can completely darken the rooms by closing the electric roller shutters on all windows. Our house has been sustainably renovated from the ground up and features a solar panel system and a solar thermal system that make optimal use of the island’s sunshine. A private parking space is available for you in the courtyard, and additional parking is available on the street. A washer and dryer are available to you free of charge in our guest laundry room outside the house. Please note that there is another apartment in the house that is also rented to vacationers. We especially look forward to welcoming families and quiet travel groups.
The Surroundings
Staberdorf is a small, agricultural village in the southeastern part of the island. Our house is located on the village’s main street, which leads to the cliffs of Staberhuk. There’s a beautiful natural swimming beach here, which you can reach by bike or on foot (about 2 km), including via a small hidden path between the fields. You’ll find a fine sandy beach with a DLRG lifeguard station and a great fish sandwich and ice cream stand in Meeschendorf, about 2 kilometers from the house. The island’s popular south beach, with its promenade, playgrounds, and tourist attractions, is about 4.5 km away—a great bike ride along the coast. The island’s capital, Burg, with its numerous supermarkets and historic old town, is about 6 km away. A little tip: Twice a week, even in the off-season, the mobile bakery stops right next to our house. Here you can get delicious cakes, great rolls, and excellent bread.
