Almost Heaven is a veritable fisherman’s paradise! With a dock providing lake access, you’re free to bring your boat to this fabulous, family-friendly vacation home with breathtaking views of beautiful Deep Creek Lake. Located in the sought-after Glen Cove neighborhood, this four-bedroom, three-bath house is the perfect place for your family to stay while enjoying everything this area has to offer. In addition to kayaking, swimming, boating, jet skiing and – of course – fishing on the lake, you’re close to some of the area’s best skiing and snowboarding, hiking and mountain biking trails galore, family-friendly adventure parks and arcades, museums, eateries, shops and more. Fun for the whole family!
Almost Heaven features an open floorplan that invites your family to spread out. The ground-floor level features a fabulous living room with a fireplace perfect for cozy fall and winter evenings – enjoy a movie on the smart TV, or surf the web on your device courtesy of the free Wi-Fi. Feel like taking in some fresh air? Step out to the patio to take in the fabulous water view a perfect way to relax after a day of hiking or skiing! Just steps away, a surprisingly spacious eat-in kitchen boasts all the major as well as a microwave, Keurig machine, blender and toaster. The cabinets are stocked with all the dishes, cookware, flatware, gadgets and drinkware you might need. A full bathroom complete with shower/tub combo offers extra convenience, as does a washer and dryer (no need to look for a laundromat).
There’s a second full bathroom with shower/tub combo on Almost Heaven’s upper level; both are stocked with plenty of fresh, fluffy towels. This level is home to a deck that runs the length of the house and offers incredible lake views. You can access the deck from both the upstairs living room and the primary bedroom, which is furnished with a sprawling king-size bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are furnished with beautifully made up queen-size beds, while bedroom 4 is perfect for the kids thanks to its set of twin-size beds. All four bedrooms and both living rooms feature smart TVs, so there’s no arguing over what to watch.

We stayed for a long weekend at “Almost heaven”. We really enjoyed the location- just a walk across the street to enjoy the dock and small beach area! (We brought our kayak and paddleboards and were able to just walk them over to get on the lake!) The location is great for a trip to the state park and close to town for necessities. We also enjoyed a fire out in the beautiful fire pit! The house was plenty spacious for our family trip (8 adults and 2 kids)Kathy was very prompt to respond to any questions!

The house and property were very nice, they definitely need to install more air conditioning units on the middle and bottom floor. Other than that it was a great place to stay!

Restful place for a family vacation. No direct access to the lake, not off the front yard.
