Surrounded by many trails for hiking/snowshoeing, mountain biking, hunting/fishing. Federated trails near the chalet without disturbing privacy.

The accommodation
Kilometers of private trails and directly from the chalet
Chalets located in mountainous and wooded terrain at an altitude of 2000 feet. Located in the majestic Mégantic region which is renowned for its national dark sky reserve. Access to 9 trout lakes, fishing rights (permit required), small beach, ATV and snowmobile trails near the chalet. Exceptional site for hiking, snowmobiling, forest walking, snowshoeing, fishing, hunting small game, deer and moose.
Mont-Gosford 5 minutes away. Mont-Megantic National Park (Observatory) 10 minutes from the cottage.
Access to the Montagne de Marbre for off-piste skidoo.
Snowshoe, ATV and snowmobile trails near our cottages
Fishing in the small stocked lakes of the Domaine or at Lake Mégantic
Boat descent 15 minutes from the cottages to navigate on Lake Mégantic

No cell phone network or WIFI - you'll really get away from it all :-)
** NO RUNNING WATER. Just before your arrival, 2 18-liter bottles will have been filled with fresh drinking water for drinking.
** NO SHOWER. Inside the cottage, you have a boiler toilet.
Fully equipped kitchenette with all the kitchen essentials. Small fridge, toaster, propane stove and outside propane BBQ, dishes, pots and utensils.
BEDS:
- 2 Queen bunk beds
1 child-size single bed.
MAXIMUM 4 ADULTS AND 1 CHILD.
Camp bed available on request only.
Complete bedding, toilet paper and paper towels provided.
** VERY IMPORTANT: it is best to arrive before sunset because it is in the mountains and it gets very dark at night. This will save you complications in finding the chalet.

The host answered all my questions in a timely manner. It was so warm and cozy, I loved having both options of a wood stove or an electric heater to heat the place, both worked very well even when the cold hit -20 F. Instructions were clear as to how to get there and what to do when leaving. The cabin was very clean, would definitely recommend.

It was clean, perfect for 2 people, just worried about the disposal of the toilet waste in the regular garbage bin, and if it meets the environmental rules.

This cabin has everything you need. It's rustic, so you have to be prepared for that. The night sky and all the stars you can see in this place that has zero light pollution makes up for any missing amenities.
