Berekfürdő is a quiet hamlet in the Great Plain, between Karcag and Kunmadaras. The thermal spa is one of the oldest and best-known thermal spas in Hungary. The Berek Thermal Apartments are located near the spa, where each apartment features a terrace with a thermal water pool.

Family Apartment 4: A 40 m² apartment for 4 people.
The apartment consists of 2 bedrooms with double beds (an extra crib can be added), 2 twin-bed rooms, and a living room. TV in both rooms. The apartment features a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom, and a private thermal water pool on the terrace! This way, you can enjoy the healing and soothing power of the water right on your apartment’s terrace with your friends! For our guests’ comfort, the apartment is equipped with air conditioning, an LED TV, and free Wi-Fi. The large terrace features outdoor furniture, a grill, lounge chairs, and a ping-pong table in the garden.

From Budapest:
By car, take the M3 highway to Füzesabony, then take Highway 33 through Tiszafüred, and continue on Highway 34 to Berekfürdő. The drive takes about 2 hours.
By train to the Berekfűrdő station (or Kunmadaras or Karcag); from there, we offer a paid shuttle service.
From Debrecen:
By car, take Main Road 4 to Karcag, then head toward Berekfürdő. The drive takes 60–70 minutes.
For those arriving by plane, we offer a shuttle service from Debrecen Airport for a fee.

- Berekfürdő Spa and Outdoor Pools
Just a 3-minute walk away, nestled in a beautiful 8-hectare park, you’ll find 2 thermal pools, one thermal pool with neck, back, and waist showers—built specifically for spa guests—and 2 thermal pools that are equally popular with young and young and old alike. There is also a children’s pool, a swimming pool, and a new 500 m² youth pool with a water slide and a slide. Our indoor area features four completely renovated indoor pools with a spa, exercise classes, a children’s pool, and a children’s pool with a lounging area. In the same building, patients can also take advantage of weight baths, therapeutic massages, electrotherapy, and underwater jet massages as needed. - Tisza Lake Eco-Center - Poroszló
The Tisza Lake Eco-Center in Poroszló—Hungary’s new tourist visitor center—is a true attraction. The Ecocenter showcases the natural treasures of Lake Tisza and the Tisza Valley in an entertaining, modern, interactive, and playful way, and introduces the rich wildlife of Hungary’s second-largest lake. With a total volume of 735.000 liters and its underwater wonders, the LARGEST LAKE at the Tisza Lake Ecocenter is the most beautiful freshwater water park in Europe and offers a truly unique, nature-oriented experience.
- Hortobágy National Park
Hortobágy National Park is Hungary’s first national park and was established on January 1, 1973, by the National Nature Conservation Agency. It covers an area of 82,000 hectares. In 1999, the entire area of Hortobágy National Park was inscribed on the World Heritage List by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Marrakesh. The national park operates the country’s only passenger railway, which terminates at Hungary’s largest artificial fish pond (Lake Kondás).
- Lake Tisza - Tiszafüred
Lake Tisza is the second-largest and, at 30 years old, the youngest lake in Hungary. It was originally called the Kiskörei Reservoir, which was created by the dam at the Kiskörei water stage. The lake encompasses the Tisza River, which flows along the border between Heves and Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok counties, and is characterized by flood control dams. Before the Tisza was regulated in the first half of the 19th century, this area was a true whitewater region. In the second half of the 19th century, the regulation of the Tisza began; it was initiated by Count István Széchenyi and designed by Pál Vásárhelyi, the most prominent hydraulic engineer of the Reform Era.
The lake features beaches, canoeing and boating opportunities, and various sports facilities in several towns.
