Just a 2-day stay but a very pleasant experience. Townhouse was super-clean; kitchen was well-equipped with whatever one would need; and the property was incredibly quiet. Host was quick to answer any questions. Highly recommended.

I booked this townhouse in Ticonderoga and was shocked to discover an undisclosed security camera on the back deck-an area clearly meant for private guest use. Nor did she list the ring camera at the front door. This was never mentioned in the listing or house rules. The owner actively monitored the feed and texted me immediately after seeing ordinary activities (like taking out the garbage or when my son and husband arrived 2 days before me). This constant surveillance made it impossible to relax or enjoy the deck. VRBO’s policy requires disclosure of any cameras, but that did not happen here. In addition the host was was not flexible and my experience was marred by this. My oldest son and his family—his wife and their three young children (ages 3, 5, and 8)—surprised us with a visit and planned to stay for three nights. According to VRBO policy, additional guests are allowed with host approval, and there was plenty of space to accommodate all of us comfortably (a total of eight people: five adults and three children). However, the host immediately demanded that my son’s family vacate the property as soon as they arrived, without even giving me a chance to inform her or discuss the situation. Despite my offers to pay any extra fees, she refused and insisted that the property was not large enough, which was simply not the case.This lack of flexibility put a damper on what should have been a joyful family visit. I hope future guests have a better experience.
