I did give the owner the option to refund my money or i would post an honest review. The offer was declined. When i got there, the guy didnt have the booking. No aircond( cheap as noisy as fan only) he had to move someone out of the room i'd booked, i waited for gim to make bed etc. Whule i waited i talked with 2 guys that were off there faces,, one proceeded to offer me a woman that liked to be slapped and spat on. When my room was ready i had a shower, shower head was useless. I looked in bath and it had no taps. No t.v. in room, no wifi, bed was as hard as a rock, could feel every spring in the mattress. The pillows were like besser blocks. When i went to bed, all i could hear was someone bashing on walls and going in and out of his door, banging it closed everytime. By 12:30am i was in that much back pain i decided to leave, i send an email to the owner offering not to post an honest review and told of my experience and offered him the opportunity to refund, non has been forthcoming and no response from either. I nearly feel ashamed for the country when this is an impression of accomodation options are this shoddy. Absolutely discusted in the whole experience, in my opinion if your desperate and absolutely need accomodation, sleeping on the beach would be a far better experience. I hope that at least someone has the balls to contact me and offer some recompense for my nightmare stay.

Glad for a restful clean place to stay

This residence kind of threw me off initially, It is advertised as a Hostel but upon arrival its actually a residence , more like a home stay that seem to house mostly locals. Nothing wrong with that, but just wasn't what I expected. So, first, I couldn't recommend it for the average youth traveller or backpacker type. Although , for myself, as an older man who just wanted few quiet night stays on personal business, I was satisfied there and had a private room to myself. As a " hostel" I would say probably not managed very well, I don't think any adventurous people looking to socialize and be near attractions would be happy in this place located in a residential suburb. No greetings or information on anything regarding learning anything about Perth tourism .You are completely on your own here. Again, I must emphasize this place is almost exclusively a local room and board. It is near a shopping center to buy your foods and transportation hub to get you to Perth city and attract, etc. You can take a nearby bus or just enjoy a 25 minute walk more or less, I did both. Facilities are fair, nothing too great, not too bad. I'm not so picky about everything, so as long as I could cook and there were no critters, I don't complain. There is a small outdoor patio to chill and have a smoke if you do so, and the yard could use some gardening detail for sure.. As a conclusion, it all comes down to the individual traveler whether this place is a fit or not. I have nothing bad to say but nothing really really good to say either Hope my review helps. Cheers!
