I wasn't sure what to expect having read some very mixed reviews. The one bedroom apartment was bigger than l thought it would be, the large queen bed comfortable, as was the sofa bed, with the kitchen adequately stocked. I had brought my own washing up liquid, dishcloth and soap, having read some reviews about the lack of such essentials. If l were being picky, I would say the availability of a toaster and a kettle (for all the tea drinkers!) and additional cups etc would improve many of the poor reviews. Alessandra at Reception was very courteous and helpful with answering any questions, but the Continental Resort website could definitely use some updating in terms of photos and information provided, e.g. on using the pool and what services are on offer at the beach, for prospective guests. The email address link provided on the site was incorrect (.ita instead of .it) which was needlessly frustrating. Overall, the pool area is clean with toilets and showers, and well-maintained. The beach area too is well-maintained, perhaps a little strict in curtailing which deckchairs can be used, especially at the end of season or the weather is bad and there are very few guests around, with low demand for beach services. Overall, though l was pleasantly surprised by Continental Resort and will definitely return! Tirrenia is a great location, not only for a beach getaway, but also in its vicinity to Pisa Airport and Train Station, as a base for further travel.

appreciated: - very friendly and supportive staff - nice and well-maintained, closed resort area - big-size swimming pool - walking distance to own beach area - spacious rooms - safety-box in room - nice view from our room to the swimming pool and partially to the sea side improvable: - interior furnitures are somehow old-fashioned, but practical (typical for resort/golf style hotels)

The hotel was a short ride to pisa and at most a 5 min walk to the ocean. The area around seemed to be suffering but there was a few good places to eat if you go exploring.The resort it self was more of a cheap aparment and the picture of what i saw on expedia were not accurate.The rooms were not clean and the wifi worked better outside strangley. Im on fence in the end with recommending it,, It felt safer then rentinga hotel in pisa,it was quiet,and my kids loved going to the ocean.if you can look past alot faults it may be a dimond in the rough for you.

Our stay at this hotel/apartment was ok, I did not realize that I had book an apt instead of a hotel. We took a taxi (big mistake) from the Pisa train station which cost us 38 euros. This resort was 17 kms from the Pisa airport and did not have a lot to see their. This resort had a great Olympic size pool and fantastic beach that we would have loved but the weather was not warm enough.

We have now stayed here twice and find it very convenient to have an apartment with a small garden close to the beach. It´s clean and the staff has been very nice. We arrived late, but had no problems picking up the keys even though the reception was closed. We borrowed bikes to do the shopping at Conad (situated about one kilombeter from the Continental Resort). There is a good restaurant at Bagno Mary. The swimming pool is big with lots of sun chairs and we also used the gym at the hotel. The a/c worked well.

Very nice property with private use of the beach. Parking can be difficult if you do not have gate access as the backside is used by the public going to the restaurant or paying to use the beach. Air conditioning was not turned on in the building so the rooms got very hot requiring you to open the doors for airflow. Overall the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, each one I spoke with did speak English which was very helpful. Lots of great restaurants to eat in the immediate area. I will definitely stay again.

The beach was lovely and close by. The pool was not suitable for small children and had many sharp edges on the tile joints on the floor. I cut my foot open on the first dip. The surface surrounding the pool was also broken up and lifting. The property itself had a nice garden and ample space. It was a little run down with missing light bulbs, broken fittings etc. There were squished mosquitoes everywhere, an omen of the bites we would receive (obviously the bites were not the resorts fault). There were no amenities for cleaning the crockery and many items were not very clean. The car parking was secure and ample. The locale has a small supermarket and many restaurants. With a little TLC Continental Resort would be nice but at present I would not recommend to friends and family.

The Continial Resort is a great family place to enjoy a beautiful vacation. It has just about everything you need at your hands.

Alessandra was helpful to us before we'd even departed for Italy, helping us get to the resort. On arrival, she showed us to our apartment and gave us a little tour. The apartment was very decent and spacious for the two of us. We cooked a few times, making use of the hobs, microwave and kettle, then ate outside in the apartment's little garden/patio as the sun went down.

Very basic apartment. Kitchen is equipped with dishes and cooking necessities, and an Italian percolator for a coffee machine. Towels are provided as well as linens. No dish towels, dish soap or toiletries provided, but there is a store right down the road and you can pick up these things super cheap. The grounds are nice, location is perfect, and you have access to the main hotel's amenities (gym, computer access, and pool...which was not yet open for the season). I would stay here again for the price we paid!
