Clean units, nice staff, good food!

It was a nice experience overall. The resort is quite new and the place is well taken care of. The only problem we had was the electricity, as it would malfunction from time to time. Other than that, everything was good. The food was nice too, and we enjoyed our meals. The beach is not the best, but it is still okay. Overall, we had a pleasant and relaxing stay.

The staff made our stay lovely. They were attentive, courteous, prompt. Room It was a good size for 2 humans and a dog. The sheets were clean. My only concerns for the room were: 1. The AC was too loud. We had to figure out different settings to make it maintain the temperature we prefer without making too much noises. 2. There were too many small lights in the room (from the emergency lights, TV, clock). Minor. I should have brought my eye mask. Food At main cafe - It was okay. For its price, could be better. The welcome drinks can use less sugar. Breakfast buffet - okay too. I loved the fresh egg station. Le Mensa (pizza bar) - good! The iced tea can use less sugar. Had to refill 2x with water to dilute the sweetness. Pools There were 2 and they were well maintained. Beach Not their fault that the water was murky. It rained for weeks before our trip which likely explains the condition of the water. I wish the staff made effort to clean the beach strip while it’s low tide. There were washed sea weed that could have been swept & some trash that I had to pick up myself. Kayak & lifeguard - Complimentary activity. Kuya was lovely. Archery & staff Complimentary 1 hr activity. Fun. I had to ask the staff to explain how it was done. They just pointed at the bow and arrow and told us we could start. Fair that it wasn’t their expertise but a short orientation helps. But they were kind, helpful. The management should have clarified expectations. Dog experience Our dog was provided a dog bed (a bit small for his size), an aluminum bowl & a pack of treats. They charge 1500 per night for the dog which I found quite steep, they could have thrown in a dog towel. Our dog was allowed in most areas except in the pool area, which was reasonable. Others I wish they would discontinue their plans of having a petting zoo. It is unsustainable. The animals will just be caged. The tortoise could be moved to a bigger environment- perhaps the area across the koi pond. Drive It took us 2.5 hours from Sta Rosa. There was a short dirt road leading to the resort. Overall, still happy that we pushed through with the trip. We were blessed with good weather & the staff were wonderful.

The place was relaxing, and perfect for a quick getaway. The beach, ambiance, and overall experience were great.
