An elegant stay in a calm place steeped in history

Previously, we only came here for the spa, but now we have enriched our experience with a wonderful stay. We received a room upgrade and really enjoyed the spacious, cozy apartment. The welcome sweets and drinks were a nice touch. Pleasant saunas and a fairly large swimming pool. The entire complex has very peaceful and majestic atmosphere. The hotel offers truly excellent service, delicious breakfasts, a spacious bar, an elegant restaurant, and a special atmosphere where you can feel the breath of time. 300-year-old renewed walls combined with lightness of construction and modern comfort carry the memory of several centuries, evoking a strong sense of history, mystery, and antiquity. All staff are very professional and friendly. By choosing this place, you will get the best experience from your vacation in Montenegro.

Marvellous. Highly recommended. Wished I could have stayed longer

The room was much bigger than what we expected. It was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and delighted to tell us the history of the hotel. It was an exceptional experience.

The water in the basin gets heated up really quickly though.

Great relaxing stay!

We love the amenities and especially the spa center. Everything was super clean and very new. We really enjoyed having a sea view and a full buffet in the morning. The spa is a huge bonus especially when it’s raining. The gardens and all the restaurants were beautiful and delicious. Also the beds are amazing and the rooms well isolated. We had great resting sleeps all week!

The staff can seem a bit cold at start (except for the reception, the lady at breakfast and the cleaning ladies always smiling). The therapists at the spa center were a bit unwelcoming and so at the rosemarine. Also, I was surprised that if we wanted the concierge to take care of sending postcards (already written and stamped by us) we were asked 1€ per postcard just to put them in the yellow post box. For a 5 stars, you expect these kind of service complimentary. I went myself to the post office.

Everything... Really... And everyone was so helpful... Already second day they remember where we prefer to sit...what kind of coffee we drink... What we need... Just one step before we ask for something they know solution... and immediately offer right help ... Amazing 🤩

The best choice in Montenegro

Great hotel! Beautiful, stylish, very clean. All the teams members are very professional, really great service. Delicious and variable breakfast. Good closed beach area, cool spa with a variety of facilities. Absolutely happy for this great choice !

Lovely hotel in a great position

Beautifully appointed accommodation, comfortable beds, spacious with a lovely view of the bay. Outdoor facilities, swimming, dining and beach, were fabulous.

Expensive to eat and very expensive to drink at the hotel inc the casual options.

Good but could / should be much better.

Location and the surrounding nature

Service needs to go long ways, not bad but not at a high level, especially at this price level. Gym small and not on par with a big resort like this one, needs more equipment and a bigger area. Sauna area not the best in terms of housekeeping.. Rooms lacking any soul or warmth, old style tainted carpets on the corridors.

Everything. This place was such a great spot to spend 3 nights. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so nice and helpful and gave us a complimentary bottle of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary! We loved the property and brunch was fantastic. We can’t wait to go back

Really nice hotel, excellent breakfast.

Excellent breakfast. Very polite staff. Loved the bike hire. Great food at beach bar except the pizzanot always coming with the correct ingredients.

Guests should be told to return towels after use so it is clearer to other guests when looking for sunbeds, that they have left, rather than them just leaving there towels on the beds. I would suggest, non smoking areas for all restaurants, sunbeds, breakfast outside etc. Not fair for people to be subjected to other people's health choices, especially families with children.

Great family stay and cannot wait to return.

The breakfast was delicious - lots of options for food and milk choices. Very spacious family rooms with nice views, comfortable beds, water refilled daily and welcome snacks. Good for families. Our kids 8 & 10) loved the pool and played with other kids their age. The pool area was large, beautiful and well laid out. The spa and sauna felt brand new and very spacious. The location was great for exploring the area, and within short driving distance of other nice restaurants and beach clubs. The most impressive part of our stay were the delicious meals at both of the restaurants - we ate out a lot during our stay and the best meals we had were at the hotel!

The staff at check-in should have shown us around the room and where everything was located. Halfway through our trip we ran out of hot water because we were not told about the hot water boiler switch, and the need to keep it switched on. We were not told where the breakfast was located, the pool, the restaurant, etc. We always had to ask for the first time. We always had to chase down the waiters for coffee, eggs at breakfast and drinks by the pool. It would hve been nice for the waitresses to check if you would like to order anything from the pool beds / beach chairs... most other 5 star hotels offer this service, and this would improve the overall experience, but of course we still very much enjoyed our stay and this is not a complaint, just a suggetion to improve on the guest experience.

Facilities were great, staff very attentive, food in restaurants was superb

Kids in the swimming pool were consistently screaming, playing ball games and diving. despite breaking the rules set out by the pool staff were not interested in stopping this. This put us off using the pool which was a shame.

Wonderful hidden gem

Lovely building and grounds with immaculate gardens and pathways. Gorgeous pool/beach area and very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms with lovely Rituals toiletries. Fantastic breakfast with different options every day. Excellent spa facilities also.

The bar area was a little bit cold but other than that everything was great. The hotel is also a little bit out of the way of the town.

An amazing place to be...

An island of peace and tranquility😊

Our stay exceeded all expectations! The room was much more luxurious than it looked in the photos. The breakfasts were simply gorgeous. Varied, tasty and beautifully served, every morning was special.😊 There's also a beautiful spa area, with good massage therapists.😊 The hotel lobby deserves special attention: it is so beautiful that it feels like visiting a museum. Magnificently preserved historical walls with elements of ancient architecture, which were carefully restored and left in the very center of the space, giving this place a special charm and atmosphere. I would like to make a special mention of the staff. They are simply marvelous! The staff are incredibly attentive to detail and create an atmosphere of hospitality and coziness. This is a truly beautiful and unique place where you want to come back again and again.😊

Really beautiful property right on the seaside. I stayed in one of the residential apartments and it was beautifully decorated and very clean, room service and daily cleaning were available. The staff were all very attentive and kind and made us feel welcome. The breakfast buffet was fresh- including made to order omelettes, coffee and poached eggs as well as a hot buffet with good options, salad and cold cut/cheese bar, pastry bar, fruits, cereal and yoghurts/chia pudding. Juice was also available and the food always tasted fresh. The hotel has two lovely restaurants but we only visited Augusto which was lovely. There’s a cafe just downstairs called baguetteria that had fresh pasta and pizza which we loved a lot. The spa is lovely and a must visit! Because the hotel was so comfortable we didn’t explore a lot of Montenegro and we spent a lot of time at the hotel. We did go to Herceg novi old town and a nearby restaurant called Tapasake- the front desk was nice enough to call us a taxi each time. I recommend booking your airport transport through the hotel as well. There was a little mix up with my birthday order but the hotel more than made up for it. They also provided complimentary welcome snacks and a birthday card with complimentary champagne- I’m pregnant and couldn’t drink but my husband enjoyed it! I wholly recommend a visit.

The staff isvery friendly and accommodating. The kitchen is very clean, utensils new, refrigerator big, the rooms and the balcony spacious. Very quiet.

There was a minor inconvenience of absence of American style electrical outlets/adapters. No 110 v outlets in the bathroom normally present in hotels.

Lovely hotel

We got a very nice upgrade when we checked in for a suite overlooking the marina which was highly appreciated. The service in the hotel is quite quick and they do their best to accomodate to your needs. They are highly cooperative and understanding and the location of the hotel is just 5-10 minutes by car from porto novi and 5 minutes to the old town.
