    I stayed at Areva Hostel for three nights, and while it serves as a central base for exploring the city, the experience was overshadowed by poor facilities and an unwelcoming atmosphere. The Highlights: The Cleaning Staff: The absolute silver lining of this hostel. The cleaning ladies were incredibly kind and hardworking—they were the only staff members who made me feel welcome. Location: The location is truly excellent and puts you right where you need to be in Yerevan. The Room & Facilities: The 10-person dorm was extremely cramped, and the beds were old and quite uncomfortable. One of the strangest aspects is the vibration; the metro runs underneath the building, causing the entire place to shake regularly. Common areas and amenities were equally frustrating: Bathrooms: There are only two bathrooms, and the floors were perpetually wet and smelly. Fridge: The fridge is tiny and so overcrowded that it was impossible to fit anything inside. Wi-Fi: I experienced technical issues where the internet connection caused strange glitches on my computer. Staff & Atmosphere: The check-in process involved a lot of logistical "weirdness" and uncertainty regarding which bed was actually available. While you are forced to sign a document stating you won't bring in or drink alcohol, the rule isn't enforced, and people did it anyway. This, combined with the "weird vibes" from the general management staff, created a lack of respect for both the guests and the property. Noise & Environment: Sleep was difficult due to the constant noise from construction, loud drivers, and people smoking and chatting outside. To make matters worse, the smoke from outside drifts directly into the rooms. Verdict: The cleaning ladies are wonderful, and the location is perfect, but the cramped rooms, lack of maintenance, and cold staff make it hard to recommend this hostel.
