Charming Cabin with Incredible Mountain Views

Every single thing. I cannot recommend this property more. I stat at a lot of vacation rentals in my travels, this one quickly found itself at the top of my list now. It is so dog friendly, my two furry boys were in heaven. The larged fenced in area really was a game changer. It's beautiful, quiet and peaceful. I am already planning when I can return next year (and I don't usually repeat places). Dorothy is an amazing host, check in was super easy, it really was absolutely perfect.

Our family—my husband, our two teens (ages 13 and 17), and our dog—stayed at this cabin from Thursday, July 4, through Monday, July 8. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the privacy and the sweeping mountain vistas visible from the wrap-around deck. Getting to use the telescope provided felt like having our own private planetarium—stargazing under a canopy of stars was magical. Inside, the cabin felt both spacious and cozy. The two-story windows in the living room framed the view perfectly, and the wood-burning fireplace made evenings feel extra special. With three bedrooms, a loft workspace, and a finished basement, everyone had room to spread out. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a full-size range, dishwasher, and dedicated coffee station, made it easy to prepare family meals and morning breakfasts. Our dog loved roaming the fenced yard and exploring nearby trails—pet-friendly touches like the waste station and provided bags were a thoughtful bonus. Check-in was seamless thanks to the clear lockbox instructions, and we appreciated being just a short drive from Forest City’s shops, restaurants, and hiking trails. We give this cabin a full five out of five stars. It delivered everything we wanted for a memorable holiday weekend, and we already cannot wait to return.

Everything was perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous view, the beautifully decorated cabin, and the spacious outdoor area. The cabin was cozy and rustic but with modern amenities. We would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back again in the future!!!
