Overall experience was wonderful! Never stayed in a place that had a waterfall in the backyard. Absolutely amazing. My grandson loved panning for "rocks" and playing in the water. I bet in mid-summer it is soooo refreshing. Though my granddaughter thought is was COLD, COLD, COLD! (relative to age I suspect - he's 5, she's 20!)
I would recommend staying here for the waterfall experience alone.
The house was pleasantly quirky and well stocked with appliances and any cooking utensil you may need. The grill worked great. To us the view and sound of the waterfall were just unapparelled!
The A/C controls were programmed with set temps so I had to try to keep changing it to maintain a comfortable temperature for us (especially upstairs).
You may want to bring your own toilet paper and towels. They only supply 1 ply TP. We could only find 6 towels (3 upstairs and 3 downstairs). 4 adults stayed for 6 nights.
After driving over 8 hours we arrived about 35 mins earlier than the reservation check-in at 3. I did receive a txt from the owner that the house would be available at 1:00. The cleaning and prep service was there. This was absolutely no problem for us. She kindly let us put our groceries in the refrigerator and we said we would just enjoy the view until they finished. With that said, I'm not sure why there was a full size flat sheet with no fitted sheet on the queen bed (it did have a protector) , and a fitted sheet with no flat sheet on the king bed. I did find a closet full of bedding items, but too much to go through to find a complete set of sheets.

Overall we had a marvelous time in such a beautiful part of North Carolina.

We had the most wonderful stay over Mother’s Day weekend. The house was absolutely perfect — charming, cozy, and beautifully located. The nearby falls are truly breathtaking and added so much magic to our trip.
The house itself was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and well-stocked with essentials like coffee and soap — such a helpful touch that made us feel right at home.
The owner went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. When we accidentally left a bag behind, he made the process of getting it back incredibly easy and was genuinely happy to help. His kindness and responsiveness were the icing on the cake.
This was one of those rare stays where everything just felt right. We can’t wait to return!
