Blue Beach Ahangama

This property is a single private room with attached bathroom. It is right next to UFO cafe and above a souvenir shop. The view was superb and the property is 100% value for money. There's a mini fridge which I did not find in properties with similar rates. 1 minute walking distance from cafes, atm, supermarket and the beach. While they officially do not have a bag storage, you can speak to the nearby cafe and they help you out.

1. The location being in city centre is super noisy. 2. The property is on the first floor and the staircase is a narrow spiral one, so large and heavy bags are a challenge to carry upstairs. I received help from the person who helped me check in. 3. I found communicating to the staff a bit tricky as I did get their phone number and I was speaking to them through Booking.com, which sometimes led to delayed responses. 4. The room and the balcony have a lot of ants and insects - probably due to the wooden flooring of the balcony.

Had my first night here after arriving in Sri Lanka. It's a great spot for the location and great view! There is cafés and restaurants all around.

There is alot of noise from the traffic so bring earplugs if you want to sleep. It's expected though, since it's so central so I didn't mind it for one night.

Paid AUD 100 for the night. Well worth the for the view. However, little disappointed as the toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush etc were missing. Other than that, very happy with the stay.

Gorgeous view of the ocean, with a cute little balcony, surrounded by all the cafes and restaurants. Good value for money.

The bed was very uncomfortable, I could feel the mattress springs and I woke up with back and neck pain. Although the location is convenient, the area is very noisy at night, which made it hard to sleep. There were no toiletries provided.
