The moment you walk in you are treated with a warm welcome. The staff from the front desk to the chef, go above and beyond anything I have experienced. The afternoon appetizers and wine tasting was a very nice touch. We were very excited to see what breakfast would be like after tasting the chef’s appetizers. They did not disappoint! Hands down the best breakfast we have had at any hotel. For that matter, probably the best at any restaurant too.

Absolutely beautiful property. Quiet location, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was gorgeous and comfortable. We had a soaking tub in our room, which was lovely after a day of adventuring. We really enjoyed the evening social hour with house bottled wine and small bites.
I wouldn't lower my score for this reason because I knew what I was getting into, but this property is quite pricey. You definitely get what you pay for though, and we couldn't have had a better time. At this price however, it's probably only a once per year type of getaway.

Okaeri was truly a dream. My partner and I decided to spend a night on a whim after a particularly taxing week, and it was such a serene and mindful stay. Every detail down to the letter was thought out. The garden space outdoors was beautiful and the back patio to our room was so nice to watch the sunrise in the morning. The room was immaculate and came with snacks, a soaking tub, and complimentary chilled water and creamers for the coffee/tea station in the room. The team at Okaeri clearly loves what they do. Saina and Craig were incredibly thoughtful as to keep us posted on a local wildfire happening nearby and make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. When I reserved the room, I originally thought the breakfast would be similar to a standard continental, however they pulled out all of the stops with multiple courses and carefully crafted drinks and entrees. I can honestly say this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at, simply because every single detail was executed with exceptional hospitality in mind. The team at Okaeri has done it right, and I won't be surprised when it starts to get more popular and they raise the prices in the future.
I'm grasping for things to list and can't come up with anything. I suppose if you want to be a stickler, my partner mentioned how it would be a good idea to mention the steep driveway in the reviews so that people with lower cars enter and exit with caution when leaving the property so as not to scrape the bottom of their cars...that's truly the only thing I can even think of!
