Strathavon Cottage

We stayed in Stone Haven cottage NOT Strath havon. The cottage was beautiful. Everything works, the house is modern. We had plenty of firewood for the fireplace and the hot tub. More wood was supply to us when we needed it. There is an electric blanket and heater as well for cold nights. The farm itself is peaceful, animals around,calm, very relaxing and safe.

There was a mix up, we got the wrong cottage. The owner was sweet though and all was good. The road leading to the farm is about 13km of gravel road so it might be tricky driving through it during the rainy season. There is an alternative route with a shorter gravel distance, however is passes the most expensive toll in RSA lol.

This property is easily underrated. It is a hidden gem in a tranquil, peaceful and beautiful setting. There is everything you need for a break away from the city. Friendly staff and fully equipped with fireplace inside and outside and ample firewood. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend it to anyone. Go and see for yourself.
