Kaikoura Blue haven in the bay

We were completely satisfied with every aspect of this accommodation. Everything—from the furniture, bedding, and carpets to the overall cleanliness—was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Even the kitchenware was lovely and made us feel at home. The welcome cookies were delicious, and the capsule coffee and fresh milk in the fridge made our mornings extra special. Unfortunately, the weather during our stay in Kaikōura wasn't great, and our whale watching tour was cancelled, which was disappointing for our children. However, the board games provided at the accommodation gave us a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together as a family. The bathroom was very practical for bathing our children, and the shower had excellent water pressure, making it perfect for a relaxing hot shower after a cold day outside. When road closures meant we couldn't continue our journey, we felt quite stressed and unsure what to do. Carol comforted us with such kind and thoughtful words and kindly helped us extend our stay for another night. We are truly grateful for her generosity and understanding. Having laundry detergent and a drying rack available was also incredibly helpful, allowing us to do some urgent laundry. Our children even had a great time playing hide-and-seek around the house, creating happy memories despite the bad weather. We would love to come back next year when the weather is better. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Kaikōura. Thank you again, Carol and Todd🥰

The property was beautiful, the hosts had thought of everything from great games, ketchup in the fridge for fish and chips and a great recommendation book of things to do in the area

Lovely home. It was modern clean and bright and there were lovely extra touches (eg coffee and biscuits) so we felt very welcome. We especially loved the tree light in the lounge. Beds were very comfy and kitchen had what we needed. We enjoyed our stay despite the adverse weather and made good use of the games provided.

It might have be tight if 6 were staying (especially round the table) but for us it was perfect. An extra medium/small baking tray or two might be helpful but we were able to manage ok.
