Great stay with alpacas

Very friendly hosts, were available whenever we needed them. Also organized a hairdryer for me when needed. The location is beautiful, lots of animals around and good for going on hikes throughout the day. We enjoyed getting to know the farm animals, including the alpacas of course. During the night, you can see a lot of stars. Basic kitchen facilities inside the hut, including a little fridge and camping stove.

The toilet is outside and showers can only be taken at the main house. We knew that so we were prepared bit still slightly inconvenient. Can also get quite cold during the night.

The farm is a working farm with various types of farm animals, not just alpacas. It was great to stay in the hut and enjoy the peace and quiet. The environment was very restful. The hut was comfortable and very clean. The hosts were very friendly, but not overwhelming.

The bathrooms and showers are in a separate location, which was not fully clear from the Booking description. The showers are in the main house and were accessible to us between approx 7.30am and 9pm.

Great location and animals. Facilities not fit for purpose

The location is great. Really enjoyed seeing all the animals. Was a delight seeing the donkeys running around the field that housed the hut. Lovely to see the alpacas. Host was welcoming. Hut was cute with great views. / Working farm.

Description reads : private bathroom. The toilet is a shared portaloo. The shower is under construction at this time. (So not ready for guests) You can shower at a shared shower at the farm house. This was dirty and not up to standard. We found a used tampon in the shower. We cut our stay short and left.

Fun for a short stay!

Shepard’s hut was delightful, farm animals very amusing and lovely area surroundings.

Shower wasn’t located near the huts, no towels provided and not accessible at times we needed it. The Shepard’s hut was in the donkey enclosure so in the night it was difficult to miss the poop on the way to the toilet.

Great stay in a really lovely clean hut with amazing animals for company.

Lovely peaceful location, the alpacas and donkeys were great company! The hut was really well equipped, clean and comfortable. Nice to have the fire laid and restocked the second night. Great little kitchen area and the bed was very comfortable. Nice to be welcomed on site by Gayle.

No shower at the hut and the toilet was a porta loo - but not really an issue for a couple of nights and shower was available at the house.

Loved it! So peaceful and wholesome, in a perfect location

A very lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were very warm and welcoming and the hut was cosy. We were delighted to be able to walk around the farm and meet the animals (and feed a lamb!), the hosts were very happy to give us information about all of the livestock. We found it very hard to leave, especially with all the animals. We’d love to come and stay again!

Not a dislike, but the space for cooking/cleaning was a little limited. Another table/shelf would be beneficial, along with some more cooking utensils. We would have also felt more comfortable if there was a carbon monoxide alarm.
