Very clean & cozy house in a tranquil setting. Easy to find but off the beaten path, perfect for a getaway. Bathrooms, kitchen, laundry were immaculate. Comfortable beds, lots of closet space! There's a yard for small children and the driveway that leads to the house from the road is a quiet cul-de-sac so kids could play safely around the house. We did not go hiking so I don't know about walking beyond the immediate area. I can say the road leading to the house was pretty, wooded and follows a creek but not for kids to play on. The house is 25ish minutes from downtown Asheville but there's an ingles grocery less than 10 minutes away by car. Also several restaurants in the area, which also need a car to get to.
