Rock Lobster

The property is set in a quiet residential area about 10 minutes walk from Camber Sands Beach. It has parking directly in front of the house. Small enclosed garden which would be lovely if the sun shone. It is about 10 minutes drive into Rye and about 20 minutes drive to Dungeness which was one of the reasons we stayed here. Rye is a lovely quaint town with everything you would need for the trip. There was a small local store about 10 minutes walk from the property, but not much else in the direct vicinity apart from the shops and bars near the beach, however we knew this before we booked so do some research before you visit. Some of these shops/ cafes were closed due to it being out of season. Sadly we had bad weather so did not explore the area as much as we had hoped. The property had everything you would need for a self catering break. We had no intention of using the kitchen facilities as we were celebrating a special birthday but due to the weather were forced into making a meal on arrival. All the utensils, crockery, tea towels etc were supplied along with tea coffee and other little touches in the kitchen. There were stair gates fitted top and bottom of the stairs. The property is nicely presented with some lovely artwork and decor around the house. There was an information folder on the coffee table. The house was lovely and clean and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

The property had one family bathroom with shower over the bath. It did not have a 2nd bathroom as we thought when we booked. It has a downstairs toilet which was very useful. One small suggestion - perhaps a longer mat in the hallway, as it was requested we remove footwear (perfectly acceptable) but as it was very wet we did traipse sand and mud into the hallway. A hoover was available for us to clean up though.

We really enjoyed our short break,the property was well equipped in the kitchen and the beds really comfortable. The downstairs toilet was convenient and a bathroom upstairs had a bath and shower over the bath. The property is well located for the beach which is a few minutes away and a bus stop even nearer going to Rye and Hastings.Not much open in Camber itself because we went in October but a lovely Indian restaurant and a pub a few minutes away.Great response from owner always responded quickly.

Great location, 10 minute walk from the beach in a quiet patch of houses with space for 2 cars. Kitchen was well supplied with everything we thought we needed (other than salt and pepper). Outdoor space on decking was pleasant and catches some sun in the afternoon. WiFi worked very well. Checking in and out was very easy with the lock box.

'Double' bed consisting of 2 singles was firm and not very comfortable to sleep on. Dishwasher tablets didn't seem to be present when we went to use them

Een leuk huisje in een rustige buurt , niet ver van het strand . Het terrasje was een pluspunt. Leuke kamers. We hebben van hieruit Engelse tuinen bezocht , 45 minuten à 1 uur rijden.

Spijtig dat er geen koffiemachine of Senseo was , enkel een French press. Een infomap met de dichtsbijzijnde mogelijkheden om boodschappen te doen of info uit de naaste omgeving ontbrak. De oven ging moeizaam.
