Our stay at Messinian View was exceptional from beginning to end, and what truly made it special was the genuine hospitality of Yannis and his family. From the moment we arrived, Yannis couldn’t have been more attentive. Nothing was too much trouble, and he took great care to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. It is clear that this is a family-run business built with passion and pride. Both Yannis and his wife have created a beautiful property, but more importantly, they make every guest feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The accommodation is thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need. We particularly appreciated the self-catering breakfast basket and the well-stocked kitchenette, which made it easy to enjoy a relaxed breakfast each morning on the terrace. The pool area is immaculate, peaceful and beautifully maintained, providing the perfect place to unwind. The terrace offers what must be one of the most spectacular sunset views over the Messinian Gulf—an unforgettable panorama that we looked forward to every evening. There is ample parking, and the hotel’s location makes it an excellent base for exploring Kalamata and the surrounding villages and beaches, all of which are easily accessible by car. What sets Messinian View apart, however, is the warmth of its hosts. Their kindness, attention to detail and obvious love for what they do create an atmosphere that feels more like being welcomed into a home than staying in a hotel. The property itself is beautifully designed, charming and exceptionally well thought out. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend Messinian View to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with outstanding hospitality.

Messinian View Hotel is a hidden gem - the stunning views, the exceptional owners and staff, the clean and spacious rooms, and the central location - you cannot go wrong with this small boutique hotel. Before we even arrived in Kalamata, the hotel contacted us to welcome us to Greece. We were met at the hotel by the owner, who welcomed us with open arms and showed us around the gorgeous property. The hotel is right on the water, and the views are amazing. Our family of four had a two-level suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both levels had their own outdoor space. The rooms were spacious and spotless. The fridge and pantry were stocked for us, and refilled when needed. We were also served coffee every morning in the common room, along with homemade muffins. All of the attractions were within a short driving distance. We cannot say enough about our stay here and will definitely be rebooking during our next visit.

Everything was wonderful. There was nothing we would change.

The state of the property is outstanding. The host Yannis is extremely helpful and pleasant. He gave our daughter some fresh peaches and gave us detailed recommendations on what to do and where to eat.
