Villa Don Luigi

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Don Luigi! The views were breathtaking from every direction — honestly, I didn’t want to leave. 🥹 We had the whole villa to ourselves, so it felt very private, peaceful and truly like our own home. The location was also perfect for us as we didn’t have a car. There is a bus stop very close to the villa with a direct bus to Amalfi, which made getting around so easy. There were so many thoughtful little touches too. Pasta was left for us, and we were even welcome to pick fresh lemons from the lemon trees, which we loved! The jacuzzi was in such a beautiful spot with an incredible view — we never wanted to get out 😂 — and having a charcoal barbecue overlooking the coast made our evenings there even more special. Rachele and her husband were both incredibly kind and welcoming. We felt completely comfortable and at home from the moment we arrived. It was genuinely one of those places that you feel sad to leave. ❤️

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der Villa Don Luigi, die wir komplett für uns allein hatten! Der Whirlpool war ein absolutes Highlight und perfekt, um nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag zu entspannen. Die Aussicht war einfach traumhaft und hat unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Die Gastgeberin war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben Nudeln, Tomaten und Knoblauch für das erste Abendessen bekommen. Man hat sich von der ersten Minute an willkommen und rundum wohlgefühlt. Es war einfach alles perfekt für uns – von der Unterkunft über die Ausstattung bis hin zur Gastfreundschaft. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine klare Empfehlung!!!

Prachtige villa en domein. De gastvrouw had zelfs ingrediënten klaargezet om een pasta te maken, waaronder tomaten uit eigen tuin, alsook wat voor het ontbijt. Heerlijke ontvangst dus! De foto’s zijn zeker niet gelogen, in tegendeel, het was nog mooier in het echt!! De ligging is prachtig, maar wel wat afgelegen- je moet wat omrijden om naar bijv Positano te gaan. Wel kan je beneden het kleine strandje Furore Fjord via de trappen bereiken. Je moet wel in goede conditie zijn: 2000 trappen 😛

I did a ton of research before choosing a place to stay, and I’m so glad I picked this one. The place is AMAZING, and the host, Rachele, was equally amazing. She was incredibly easy to reach and helped us plan so many of our activities. The view is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. You also have access to her garden, where you can pick fresh fruits and vegetables. On our first night, we made pasta sauce using tomatoes and herbs from the garden, which made the experience even more special. My kids loved the garden, it’s the first place they went to every morning. I’ve traveled all over the world, and this is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. It will always hold a special place in my heart. We did a tour of Europe and this our family’s favorite place. They need to charge more for this place. It is far too cheap for how much it has to offer.

I loved it here. Of course you have to be ready for lots of steps, but that’s the entire Amalfi coast.
